CODY IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE A PARTNERSHIP WITH
AGUILAR AMPLIFICATION AND KEN SMITH BASSES.

As a bassist, Cody Wright draws from the facility and phrasing of his prodigious guitar technique, using a pick for most of his solos and melodic flourishes. "It just made the most sense to me (to use a pick), since I can already do all that stuff on guitar...Why start from square one again?"
Wright is developing a truly original sound on the electric bass thanks to the articulation of the pick.

In January 2011, Cody Wright was recruited as the bassist in the Jonathan Scales Fourchestra. Wright and the Fourchestra have just completed an extensive tour in promotion of their third album,
Character Farm and Other Short Stories.  Wright is a 2011 graduate of Warren Wilson College.

2012 dates include Merlefest, Bear Creek Music Festival, NIU's Jazzfest, the Virginia Beach Pan Festival, and more.
